Agios Ioannis Porto, Agios Sostis, Agios Romanos and Kionia are just few of the beautiful and calm beaches in Tinos, located on the southern side of the island.
Generally Tinos beaches on the south are more popular and organized with hotels, seaside taverns and cafeterias.
Tinos beaches on the north are secluded and more affected by the wind. You will find below a list with the best beaches in Tinos island:
  • Rohari

Is a wide bay at the outlet of the stream from Plateia with a beautiful sandy beach, with trees providing shade and overlooking the islet Planet.

The sand extends for some distance into the ravine.

The beach has facilities for bathers (cafeteria, showers, sports, etc.).

  • Kavalourko Untrodden leeward

Sandy beach next to the island Planet opposite the settlement of Panormos.

  • Agia Thalassa

Very beautiful sheltered sandy beach with trees and blue waters, opposite the village of Panormos.

  • Stafida (Panormos beach)

The beach itself is the culminating point of wetland Panormos where one can admire the varied fauna (sea turtles, ducks, geese, herons and many other species).

On the beach there are plenty of trees, offering pleasant shade.

  • Isternia: Isternia beach is located 13 km northwest of Tinos town. Right below the picturesque settlement you will find this beautiful cove with wonderful crystalline waters, soft sand and a few pebbles. At night, in clear weather Ysternia offers a magnificent view to the neighbouring islands. The area offers several accommodations for the visitors who want to enjoy the peaceful surrounding of this secluded part of Tinos. You will also find a couple of taverns and a cafe within a walking distance from the beach.
  • Agios Ioannis: Agios Ioannis Porto beach is located 7 km southeast of Tinos town. Beautiful natural features like the crystal clear waters, the soft sand and the lush green area make Agios Ioannis one of the most cosmopolitan beaches of Tinos.
    It offers various facilities beach bars and taverns. The picturesque chapel that stands on the left side of the beach is one of the attractions of Agios Ioannis.
  • Agios Sostis: Agios Sostis beach is located 6 km southeast of Tinos Town. It is one of the most popular beaches on Tinos with amazing crystalline water, soft sand and beautiful surrounding with tree offering plenty of shade. There is a beach bar and a couple of taverns within a walking distance from the beach.
  • Kolympithra: Kolymbithra is a beautiful bay located 15 km from Tinos town. It consists of two beaches, equally beautiful and well protected from the strong winds. The small beach offers plenty of facilities and right on the beach is a cantine with snacks and drinks.
    This part of Kolimbithra is quite cosmopolitan and crowded. There is a nice tavern serving some of the best local delicacies and a couple of guestrooms within a short walking distance.
    The large beach is ideal for those who want to enjoy a peaceful swimming away from the noisy crowds. Both beaches have a unique environment, suitable for swimming and sunbathing.
